Cagayan de Oro City – Police Colonel SALVADOR N RADAM, City Director of Cagayan de Oro City Police Office stands firmly and assures the general public, to every Kagay-anons, that in the city of Golden Friendship, there is no existence of the so called “TRAFFIC LIGHT MODUS”.
This pertains to the just recently posted by a netizen on his FB page that goes viral about seven days ago from this date, even caught the attention of the National level and poses alarm concerning security and safety of every individuals in public places.
Police Colonel Radam has directed Chief of all Units and Station Commanders to submit reports and conduct investigation concerning the issue for clarity and in order the public to be enlighten, but, base on record and reports submitted, no reported incidents in their respective Area of Responsibility specifically from Police Station 1 to 10 and Special units that the so called, “Traffic light Mudos exist in the city of Cagayan de Oro even before, there is none.
In his report to the higher office of Police Regional Office 10 under the leadership of Police Brigadier General RICARDO LAYUG JR., that Police Captain EMILITA M SIMON, GAD PCO under the supervision of Police Lieutenant Colonel ERNESTO NIEBITO M DAING, Chief of City Community Affairs and Development Unit that the netizen posted the vlog was identified as Kap Junjun Vacalares and personally visited the address of the same person and conducted interview and inquiry of his Facebook post Seven days ago from this date with caption “TRAFFIC LIGHT MODUS ONLY IN BULUA, CDOC, AYAW MOG KUMPYANSA.”
He reported further, that Mr Vacalares narrated, “that the video was captured by his dash camera and vlog the same to provide awareness but unintentionally made his caption “Traffic Light Modus”, this has created a negative impression to Cagayan de Oro City. Same person was then advice by Police Captain Simon if possible, to re-vlog or repost the said incident and provide and appropriate correction.
Top COCPO Official still directs all Station Commanders and Chief of units to conduct investigation and submit report if incident related like this occurred in their AOR.
Police Colonel SALVADOR N RADAM, City Director, COCPO clarifies to the public that Police Station 7 in Bulua under the supervision of Police Major JERSON B ESTANILLA, Station Commander has reported that no incident recorded in their area of responsibility. On the other hand, City Director of COCPO has reminded our riding public to be careful as always and avoid such incident like this, likewise, to our responsive citizens even vloggers to take extra precaution in our statement being release to the public, to see to it that it may not destroy the image of the city, posses alarm to the people and to the point creates negative impression to our beloved City of Golden Friendship.
