Cagayan de Oro City- Elements of Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO), City Drug Enforcement Unit together with the City Intelligence Unit successfully arrested violators of R.A. 9165 during the conduct of drug buy-bust operation in coordination under PDEA-10 pre-ops number 30002-052024-0489.
Police Colonel SALVADOR N RADAM, City Director reported to Police Brigadier General RICARDO G LAYUG JR., Regional Director, Police Regional Office 10 (PRO-10) that on May 22, 2024, at about 12:01 AM, CDEU Operatives led by the Chief CDEU, together with CIU conducted drug buy-bust operation at North-C, Macajalar, Brgy. Camaman-an, Cagayan de Oro City in coordination under PDEA-10 pre-ops number 30002-052024-0489 which resulted in the arrest of XXXXX XXXXXXXXX y XXXX, male, 40 years old, single, resident of aforementioned place.
He added that during the buy-bust operation, bought from the suspect was one-piece sachet of heat-sealed transparent plastic cellophane containing a white crystalline substance of suspected Shabu worth Php500.00 to the CDEU operative who acted as poseur buyer and confiscation with the following pieces of evidence during the operation including;
a. Three (3) sachets of heat-sealed transparent plastic containing a white crystalline substance believed to be Shabu with estimated total weight of 12 grams with an estimated market value of Php81,600.00,
b. one heat sealed heat-sealed transparent plastic containing dried leaves of suspected marijuana with estimated weight of 1 gram with an estimated market value of Php140.00, and
c. One android cell phone including the pre-recorded buy-bust money of Php500.00 bill.
The suspect is now under custody of City Drug Enforcement Unit, Cagayan de Oro City Police Office for proper disposition while confiscated drug items will be brought to Regional Forensic Unit-10 for qualitative and quantitative examinations.
Police Colonel Radam ensures that perpetrator will be penalize for violations of Sec. 5 & 11, Art II, of Republic Act 9165, and prepared for case filing in court against the suspect through the City Drug Enforcement arresting team.
