Cagayan de Oro City, (April 23, 2024) – The Cagayan de Oro City Police Office under the strong leadership of Police Colonel SALVADOR N RADAM, City Director marks the significant accomplishment delivered by the City Drug Enforcement Unit Operatives together with City Intelligence Unit personnel during the drug buy-bust operation at Kamakawan, Brgy. Indahag, Cagayan de Oro City in coordination under PDEA-10 pre-ops number 30002-042024-0471 which resulted in the arrest of M****** L****** y A****, Top 6 Regional Level Priority Target- High Valued Individual, male, 43 years old, with live-in partner and a resident of Macapaya, Brgy, Indahag, Cagayan de Oro City dated April 22, 2024, 2024 at about 8:00 PM.
In a report released by Police Colonel RADAM, CD, COCPO to Police Brigadier General RICARDO G LAYUG JR., Regional Director of Police Regional Office 10 stated that during the operation bought from the suspect was a one-piece sachet of heat-sealed transparent plastic cellophane containing a white crystalline substance of suspected shabu worth Php500.00 to the CDEU operative who acted as poseur buyer. Confiscated pieces of evidence during the operation were; one piece heat-sealed transparent plastic containing a white crystalline substance believed to be Shabu with a total weight of 5 grams and one piece disposable lighter including the pre-recorded buy-bust money of Php500.00 bill.
COCPO City Director emphasized that said suspect is now under custody of City Drug Enforcement Unit, Cagayan de Oro City Police Office for proper disposition while the confiscated drug items will be brought to Regional Forensic Unit-10 for qualitative and quantitative examinations. Further, a case for violations of Sec. 5 & 11, Art II, of RA 9165, are being prepared for case filing in the court against the suspect.
