Cagayan de Oro City- PMAJ EVAN NEQUINTO VIÑAS, chf, CCADU/PIO announces that PCOL. AARON M Mandia, City Director is pleased to inform the general public that the month-long celebration of Higala-ay Festival was generally peaceful.

The official stressed out that without the usual support of the Local Government Unit headed by Hon. Rolando “Klarex” Uy and the City Council and our counter parts from other government and private entities/agencies, the success of this will not be realized If not with the cooperation and active support of the allied forces, other cause oriented groups the Cagay-anons and the visitors will not attained this peaceful festivity of the City Patron Sr. St. Augustine.

The City Director further stated that the month-long celebration of Higalaay Festival was concluded by rendering a rare segment of Higalaay Fiesta Fireworks particularly at the adjacent of Duaw Park, Acasia, Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City wherein huge number of Cagay-anons gathered to witness the same.

Fireworks display ran through for about five minutes.

The same was applauded by the spectators until it finaly rested with no untoward incident happened.

And it is safe to conclude that the month-long celebration of Higala-ay Festival is generally peaceful, Col Madia added.
