Cagayan de Oro City Police Office- PCOL AARON M MANDIA, City Director announced to the public the results of a hot pursuit operation on a robbery incident transpired on August 2, 2022 at around 6:30 AM particularly at Apitong St., RBS, Bugo, Cagayan de Oro City.

The said operation conducted by a joint operating teams as part of the PNP intensified Anti-criminality campaign resulted to the arrest of the robbery suspect who perpetrated the robbery incident recorded earlier.

The suspect was arrested on August 2, 2022, 11:45 AM at San Vicente, Brgy Casinglot, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.

Joint operating elements of Police Station 6 (Puerto) led by PLT Angel Winston Alon Salvacion, Deputy Stacom under direct supervision of PMAJ PETER LASCUNA TAJOR, PS6 Station Commander together with personnel of Tagoloan Municipal Police Station, Tagoloan, Misamis Oreintal with direct supervision of PCAPT RON MAAGAD BABA, Station Commander identified the suspect as JOEL MOLEJON Y LOMBOY aka BORBOR/ JOEL MAGSAYO, 38 yrs old, with live-in partner and a resident of Zone 5, Tagoloan, Mis Or., a member of BM 29 a dreaded criminal gang.

Col Mandia further stated that the team seized from the actual possession, custody and control of the susect one HOMEMADE SMITH AND WESSON SILVER FINISH 357 REVOLVER MAGNUM bearing serial number 13457 fully loaded with six (6) live 38 ammunitions inside the chamber.

The victim Jorylyn Pepito, without a doubt of uncertainty, categorically and positively identified the suspect and the firearm being used in the commission of the crime.

The official stressed that the suspect temporarily detained while his case for Robbery with Serious Physical Injury and in violation of RA 10591 are being prepared.

Col Mandia reiterates that this Anti-Criminality Operation aims to ensure the entire area of responsibility of Cagayan de Oro City is safe to work, live and do business for all.

Likewise, reminded the listening public to report any suspicious activity in their area and be alert all the time.
