Cagayan de Oro City Police Office – PCOL AARON M MANDIA, City Director, COCPO welcomes this new developments in relation to Intensified Internal Security Operation of COCPO joint operating teams that resulted to the accommodation of three (3) surrendered members of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) under SRC-5 on February 13, 2023, 3:00 PM transpired at Sitio 11, Brgy Besigan, Cagayan de Oro City.

PCOL Mandia stressed that personnel from Police Station 8 led by PMAJ DENNIS ROWELL BOLANO FLORES, together with personnel from City Intelligence Unit led by PLTCOL JAMES O GAYLAN, CMFC led by PLTCOL JOEPET P PAGLINAWAN under his leadership conducted joint Internal Security Operation at Sitio 11, Brgy Besigan, Cagayan de Oro City through a series of negotiation that resulted in the accommodation of Three (3) surrendered members of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) under SRC-5.

He added further that the following members were identified as follows:

a). MARJON XXXXXX aka Jomar (4th Quarter 2022-PSR Listed), 32 years old, a resident of Barangay Besigan, Cagayan de oro City. During surrender, he was able to hand over One (1) Blasting cap and One (1) Detonating Cord.16

Designation: Squad 1-Supply Officer and Organizer. Area of operation: Lanao area and Brgy Tikalaan, Talakag Bukidnon.

Group affiliation: Platoon HUAWEI SRC5.

b). JOVEN XXXXXXXXX aka Rambo/Rembo, (YE 2020 & 2021, GF-12B,SRC5, Bingo Company, 1st PLTN, 2nd Squad Leader), 22 years old, a resident of NHA Sitio Tambo, Barangay Dansolihon, Cagayan de Oro City. During surrender, he was able to hand over One (1) Unit of Improvised 12 gauge shotgun with One (1) Magazine without ammunition.

Designation: 1st PLTN, 2nd Squad Leader.

Area of operation: Talakag Bukidnon/ Brgy. Tignapoloan & Besigan of Cagayan de Oro City. Group affiliation: GF-12B,SRC5, Bingo Company SRC5.

c.) ALBERT XXXXXXXX aka Talapas, member of (MB) MILITIA NG BAYAN 38 years old, married, resident of Sitio Tambo Barangay Dansolihon Cagayan de Oro City. During surrender, he was able to hand over One (1) Fragmentation Grenade.

PCOL AARON M MANDIA, City Director, COCPO commended this new milestone of COCPO joint operating teams as a result of their continuous and aggressive campaign on intensified Security Operation.

“This is the best opportunity to encourage our brothers in the hinterlands Barangays of CDO who are still active members CTGs and working against the government to surrender in their arms struggle and avail the best offer of the government thru the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) that opens door for a new life with their family away from uncertainty, added PCOL Mandia.

The above surrenderees are now under the custody of Police Station No. 8, Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro City for appropriate disposition.

An appropriate citations and awards are being prepared for the deserving COCPO personnel.
