COCPO- PMAJ MARIO MANTALA informed the City Director that on August 26, 2022 at about 11:45 in the evening while at Kauswagan Highway at Q Seven Inn Cagayan de Oro City a shooting incident transpired wherein the victims identified as : ART JHON QUIREM y LOREJO (wounded) 22 Y/O, Single, male and MARLOU C FELECIO (Unharmed), with postal address at San Mateo, Butuan City, 29, both stay in workers/roomboy of Q Seven Inn Kauswagan Cagayan De Oro City.

The duo were shot by the two suspects identifed as:

ZAINORHAKIIM DIMALUTANG y DIDAAGUN 28 Y/O Married, male and ALLAN ALI y DATUSAMAIG 24 Y/O, single, male both res of Vamenta Subd. Barra Opol Mis Or. who were arrested after a hot pursuit operation.

The official stressed out that at 12:05 AM on Aug. 27, 2022 they received a call for police assistance that there was a shooting incident at Q7 Inn, Kauswagan highway, this City upon arrival thereat the victim was already brought by Oro Rescue to the Hospital.

That according to the attending physician the victim (Art John) sustained 2 gunshot wounds on the right portion of his neck whose medical bulletin is closely monitored. The other victim Marlo was also shot, but able to manage to cover for his safety.

Initial investigation disclosed that while the victims were waiting outside the exit area for purposes of collecting the bills of both suspects as payment of their rented room, but instead to hand in the payment, suddenly one of the suspects shot the victim without any apparent and justifiable reason.

Recovered from actual possession and control of arrested suspect Zainorhakiim 1 unit of 9mm cal. pistol Taurus G3C 9×19 ACA481638 with 1 magazine loaded with 2 live ammos (Chamber load).

During the arrest of the suspects, ZAINORHAKIIM attempted to drew his firearm, both suspects resisted and figth back to the operating team and civilian volunteer, but they were subdued by the authorities.

The official further stated that the arrested suspects are now under PS4 custodial facility while an aporopriate case is being readed for case filing in court.

The investigator on case is still establishing the concrete motive of said incident.

Meantime, the City Director lauded the responding team for their swift action.
