Cagayan de Oro City Police Office- PCOL AARON M MANDIA, City Director, COCPO, has ordered COCPO Intelligence operatives to conduct hot pursuit/follow-up operation and possible arrest of suspect for Frustrated Murder (Hacking incident) identified as BRIAN BATOMALAQUE BAJAS legal age, married and a residence of Purok 2C Gusa, CDO transpired on February 12, 2023 at about 7:00 PM of the same place.

Upon receiving said report, PS3 personnel under the direct supervision of PCAPT MACARIO LIM LINOG JR, OIC PS3 responded.

Responding team identified the victim as Christy Ranis Macabenlar and Jomar Betonio. The duo sustained serious injuries and eventually brought to CUMC Hospital for immediate medical intervention.

Initial investigation disclosed that without any apparent and justifiable reason the suspect under the influenced of intoxicating substance hacked/ slashed both the victim with the used of a bolo and fled to west direction.

Investigation disclosed that the suspect identified as Brian Batomalaque Bajas legal age, married and a res of aforementioned placed.

The City Director has ordered PS3 and COCPO Intelligence operatives to continue the conduct of hot pursuit/follow-up operation.

“I appeal to the responsive public in the community to feed reliable information that could help our Police to locate the whereabouts of suspect for his immediate arrest.
