Cagayan de Oro City- The elements of Cagayan de Oro City Police Office headed by Police Colonel SALVADOR N RADAM, City Director spearheaded the disposal by burning of confiscated illegal fireworks and pyrotechnics this January 8, 2024, 10:00AM at Purok 9, Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City.

PCOL RADAM, City Director has reported to the higher office of Police Regional Office (PRO10) under the leadership of Police Brigadier General RICARDO G LAYUG JR., Regional Director that the said
activity jointly conducted with the presence of Bureau of Fire Protection personnel led by Fire Superintendent ROEL G BACASNOT, City Fire Marshall and
Fire Inspector SAMSON T VELARDE, Station Commander, Kauswagan Fire Station, CDOC.

PNP and COCPO key officers present were Police Lieutenant Colonel EVAN N VIÑAS, Public Information Officer/Chief of City Mobile Patrol Unit;
Police Lieutenant GIL AGPAOA, Chief, City Intelligence Unit; Police Major ROGER ALBACETE, Acting Chief, Regional Civil Security Unit; and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Personnel. The Local Government Units personnel and the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Department (CDRRMD) was also present during the event.

Media Entities also took part and covered the same significant event that was considered as the result of an active collaboration and coordination among the government agencies concerned. Among the media personalities present from Magnum Radio, iFM, Brigada News, Radyo Pilipinas, and Mis. Or. Radio.

Police Colonel SALVADOR N RADAM, City Director emphasized before the presence of media personalities and other participants that the said activity was purposively conducted to dispose confiscated illegal fireworks and pyrotechnics last December 2023 with estimated value P545, 155.00 with the presence of Local Government Unit of Cagayan de Oro City at Purok 9, Gusa, this city. On the other hand, City Director COCPO expressed his sincerest thanks to other government officials who took part on the said significant undertakings that happened in this year 2024. The same activity ended at around 12:00 NN of the same date.
