Earlier today, April 16, 2025, the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO), under the leadership of PCOL SALVADOR N RADAM, City Director, conducted a Pre-Deployment and Send-Off Ceremony in preparation for Semana Santa 2025.
The event was attended by COCPO personnel, representatives from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the Armed Forces of the Philippines – Task Force Oro (TFO), and COCPO Force Multipliers. This initiative aims to ensure the safety of devotees and maintain peace and order at pilgrimage sites and churches across the city during the Holy Week.
The program began with a prayer led by PEMS Alvin Edsel A Nacaya, Chief, Executive Senior Police Office (CESPO), followed by a warm welcome and acknowledgment from PLTCOL ERNESTO NIEBITO M DAING, Deputy City Director for Operations (DCDO). Deployment guidelines were then shared by PLTCOL NERFE D VALMORIA, Chief of the City Operations Unit (COU), emphasizing the Dos and Don’ts during operations.
The highlight of the event was the message of guidance and inspiration delivered by PCOL RADAM, reinforcing the COCPO’s commitment to ensure a safe and solemn observance of Semana Santa.
