SUSPECTS IN YSALINA BRIDGE ROBBERY, NABBED IN TWO SEPARATE BUY-BUST OPERATIONS
Cagayan de Oro City Police Office –PCOL AARON M MANDIA, City Director informed the general public that on August 01, 2022 at around 6:10 o’clock in the evening at Zone 7C Acasia Extension, Barangay Carmen, this City, Raymund Aguilar y Papin a.k.a. “Insik”, 31 y/o, single, former employee of CSWD and a resident of Tambo, Carmen was apprehended during a buy-bust operation conducted by personnel of PS4 led by PMAJ Mario Nalla Mantala Jr, Statcom, and PLT Lorenzo C Ocon, Jr., Deputy Statcom, CIU and CMFC personnel. Confiscated from his actual possession were One (1) pc elongated heat sealed transparent cellophane sachet of white crystalline substance believed to be dangerous drugs, One (1) pc medium rectangular believed to be shabu and One (1) big size transparent plastic cellophane containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, buy-bust money, One (1) unit Cal. 38 Revolver with five (5) live ammunitions inserted and other items.
In a separate buy-bust operation conducted on August 2, 2022 at around 4:30PM at Room M, King Willian Inn, Cruz Taal Sts. Brgy 7, CDOC, Jiovane Labiaga y Veloso, 42 years old, Single and resident of Phase 1, Macanhan, Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City was apprehended in a buy-bust operation conducted by PS1 (SAIDT) led by PMAJ SEBASTIAN BALAGOT CHUA JR, Station Commander together with CIU, CDEU, PS-4, and CMFC personnel, Confiscated during the buy-bust operation were (4) pcs. rectangular heat sealed plastic transparent sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with total estimated weight of 7.13 grams & estimated market value of Php 48,500.00, one (1).38 revolver without make and model with SN34843, (4) four pcs live ammunitions for cal.38 revolver and other items.
The two men arrested are suspects in the robbery incident that occurred at Ysalina Bridge, Carmen, CDOC sometime on July 31, 2022 at 10:30PM. As per the intelligence information gathered by the operatives of the City Intelligence Unit (CIU) Both suspects were positively identified by the victim when they were presented before her. Both suspects likewise confessed to committing the robbery in order to finance their drug habit. Criminal complaints for Violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of R.A. 9165, R.A. 10591 and Robbery with Force and Intimidation are being prepared against the suspects for filing before the Office of the City Prosecutor. Both suspects are now temporarily detained at Police Station 4, Carmen, CDOC.
