COCPO BACKED TEAM OF VOLUNTEERS ON A MEDICAL AND DENTAL MISSION AT BRGY. PUNTOD
Cagayan de Oro City Police Office under the command of PCOL AARON M MANDIA City Director, secured the team of volunteers composed of medical doctors, dentist, teachers, barangay health workers, City health personnel and members of different organizations who conducted Medical and Dental Mission at Barangay Puntod, Cagayan de Oro City.
Not less than 3,000 out of more than 18,000 residents of Barangay Puntod in Cagayan de Oro City will be catered and accommodated of the free 3-day medical and dental services jointly conducted by Bisaya Medical Association (BMA), Incorporated –USA and CDO Polymedic Medical Plaza from February 22-24, 2023 in cooperation with City Health Office – CDO headed by Dr. Rachel Dilla, City Health Officer, Puntod Barangay Council headed by Hon. Rexie Tinampay – Punong Barangay, Makahambus Lodge 315 and Makahambus Eagles Club.
In honor of Dr. Carlos Deleste, dedicated to save and make lives better especially for the less fortunate people, the said organizations conducted the MEDICAL AND DENTAL MISSION 2023 headed by Dr. Halbert Capuy Chairman, Bisaya Medical Association (BMA) – USA and Dr. Ruben O. Go President of CDO Polymedic Medical Plaza with a theme: “Serving is a Privilege together, We can make a difference” that focuses on the highly populated communities to have access to basic healthcare.
Services rendered range from medical and pediatric consultations to dental check-up, minor surgeries, tooth extraction and eye examination. The recipients also received prescription medicines, slippers and other items for free.
The activity was carried out by the by Bisaya Medical Association (BMA), Incorporated –USA and CDO Polymedic Medical Plaza in coordination with the Puntod barangay officials and City Health Office of Cagayan de Oro City. Volunteer doctors and dentists also assisted BMA and CDO Polymedic Medical Plaza doctors and nurses in servicing the medical needs of the recipients.
BMA have been assisting its host and neighboring communities in Cagayan de Oro City with medical, dental and other health services and targets thousands of beneficiaries to avail of their charitable and similar social outreach programs next year.
The City Director of COCPO appreciated the program and charitable outreach activity of the said organizations and for the least contribution, COCPO provided security to the team during their activity.
