The Cagayan de Oro City Police Office, under the leadership of PCOL SALVADOR N RADAM, City Director, joins the nation in honoring the 44 brave members of the Philippine National Police – Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) who made the ultimate sacrifice in Mamasapano, Maguindanao.

On this solemn day, we remember their courage and dedication as they carried out a law enforcement operation that led to the neutralization of Zulkifli Bin Hir, also known as Marwan, an international terrorist. The mission may have claimed their lives, but their valor and commitment to protecting the nation will forever be etched in our hearts.

These 44 heroes laid down their lives to uphold their sworn duty: to enforce the law, prevent and control crimes, maintain peace and order, and ensure public safety.

Let us honor their memory by reflecting on their bravery, heroism, and selflessness. Let us also recognize the sacrifices of all uniformed personnel who risk their lives every day to keep our communities safe.

Maintaining peace and order is a shared responsibility. It requires the unwavering support and cooperation of the general public to sustain the efforts of our law enforcement officers.

May we never forget the SAF 44 and the ideals they stood for.
