On May 25, 2023, at 8:00 AM, PCOL AARON M MANDIA, City Director, spearheaded the conduct of 17th outreach program dubbed as Taos Pusong Handog ni City Director with the Theme: Higalang Pulis, Kapanalig Kailanman at Jollibee Diversion Road, Kauswagan, Cagayan de Oro City. Beneficiaries of this advocacy were fifteen (15) families who belong to the less fortunate community in the hinterlands of the city of Cagayan de Oro, this compose of eighty one (81) individuals (children and adults).
The beneficiaries were given a tour to the city landmarks and attractions through the PRO 10 Bus as part of the best practice of COCPO. A program were offered to them with a free lunch at one of the famous food chain in the city along with the food packs, pack of rice, pair of slippers to children and bag courtesy from SMILES Foundation Inc. City Director also handed one thousand pesos (Php1000.00) to one of the beneficiaries as payment on his daughter graduation fee. This initiative of the City Director is one of the Best Pratices of COCPO. A simple gesture of showing kindness to our brother and sister who belong to the marginalized group in the hinterland barangays here in the city. This occasion allows then to experience the family bonding that they not commonly encountered on a regular basis unlike the families living in the urban areas.
